Such a beautiful engagement shoot in the sandy Rodeo Beach followed by a gorgeous Marin Headlands cliff side session. I was inspired by the contrast of a bold red with the natural colors that we would find in the beautiful hills of Marin Headlands. Luckily enough, Jessica of Ivy and Elm Events came on board to help put together all the gorgeous details of the photo shoot.
We really wanted to create a unique way of using calligraphy and we decided that creating a handwritten love note was both intimate and beautiful way of adding detail to an engagement shoot. Nothing could be more perfect then “Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering” . Bloomwood Paper did a phenomenal job at using a dip pen method in crafting a one of a kind piece to set off the mood for out Marin Headlands shoot. Photographed in the midst of the curves and fine lines of calligraphy, Chloe and Isabel’s intricate one of kind jewelry made for the perfect finishing touch.
Raven Reed created such a natural and elegant look for Graciela’s hair and makeup as we wanted her true beauty to shine through. We decided to finish the photoshoot adding a floral element to Graciela’s hair just as the sun started to set over the Marin Headland’s cliff side. The floral detail and bouquet Premier Floral & Event Loft created was a colorful choice in an otherwise subdued shoot, to match the boldness of the gorgeous red dress. The wispiness of the greenery added a delicacy which made for a softer overall look.
Congrats to the newly engagement couple Kelvin and Graciela! I hope you guys are thoroughly enjoying this super exciting time!
