These two lovebirds really inspire me. Why? They are in their early 20’s and know exactly what they want and aren’t afraid to ask for it. They are getting married after being together for years and in these days, how often do you see a couple in their early 20’s get married? I asked them “How did you stay together so long, because of your age and our evolved times, it’s such a rarity to see this”. They said that the reason is because they faced all of their trials and tribulations together. So they didn’t grow apart as they grew up, they grew closer. Michael and Amber are such an inspiration to young people today that love and commitment is such a beautiful thing to have and hold on to. I am flattered that I get to capture their wedding and really showcase what love is all about. I feel like in society today it’s so common to see people repel commitment and longevity and this love, Michael and Amber’s love is so refreshing.
When we were tossing around ideas for places to shoot, Amber suggested the Martinez Marina because we really wanted different landscapes to be able to play around with. We have the water, but we also have the willowy grass and beautiful rock formations. When I got their to scout it out, I just knew immediately that she picked the perfect place. They mentioned that Michael loved he movie ‘The Notebook’ and I couldn’t help but feel like we captured some of those Noah vibes in these photos. Really the Martinez Marina was the perfect setting.
To Michael and Amber – You two are such fun to work with and truly inspire me. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your engagement and soon your wedding. I absolutely cannot wait!
